Sweet & Sophisticated Burgundy & Blush Wedding

This blush and burgundy wedding is all romance, rich drama, and delicate femininity. And when it comes to romance...There was no question that Chelsea and Jason's wedding would be precisely that—a tear-jerking proposal to his future bride and a scavenger hunt organized by the groom! Their celebration had exquisite gold accents, gorgeous flowers from the Community Flower Shop, and candlelight. The day's whimsical yet striking backdrop was created by the successful color combination of dusty rose, blush pink, and dark burgundy, which was used in everything from the bridesmaid dresses to the linens and flower arrangements. The Conventioneers crew expertly did the rentals and décor, giving the ballroom a fairy tale appearance! With a lavish greenery flower wreath (a true show-stopper!) and one of the most exquisite chandeliers, the two danced for the first time. DJ Tooth played music as they partied into the night. About the Couple

We were engaged after just ten months of dating, proving early on that this was the real deal! Despite never meeting in person, our lives had already intersected numerous times. A classmate from my graduate school married Jason's childhood pal. He held regular medical school meetings in the same building where I had my first PA job. The Coffee Meets Bagel dating app is actually where we met years later! After our first date in Shady Grove, we went to Millie's Ice Cream!

Jason organized a fantastic scavenger hunt at our favorite date locations in Pittsburgh. The places visited were Mellon Park, Mount Washington, Aspinwall Baseball Fields, Round Corner Cantina, Arsenal Lanes, and Point State Park. Ultimately, the hints point to a proposal near Aspinwall's forested creek. I couldn't tell you what he said, but it was one of the happiest times of our life, and there were many tears of joy. After that, our families met us at Atria's!

About the Wedding

We have a modern romantic wedding theme. With lots of candles, we used deep crimson, dusty rose, ivory, and gold as our colors! There were so many wonderful details. The candlelight ballroom and floral chandelier were stunning. It was an incredible cake. My Italian mother, Julie, planned the wedding perfectly, and it wouldn't be the same without the amazing cookie table.

Favorite Moment

It was truly memorable to begin the day getting ready at home while sipping coffee and mimosas and listening to music with my mom and closest friends. Even though the day goes too quickly, I will never forget my dad proposing to Jason, exchanging vows, and our first dance together as husband and wife!
